About us..

Wrong Electron is a new media collective with interests in generative audio and visual arts. WE are actively researching and developing new tools and methods in the areas of:

Custom performance, creation and control hardware:

· Instruments

o Midi Hand Drums – rehabilitation

o Hardware Sequencer

· Controllers

o Briefcase (PIC)

o Multichannel DMX LED Controller (Arm7)

· Sensors

o Large Variable Resistors

Development of audio, video & lighting software:

· Custom control environments.

o Visual Generation Patches (VVVV, Jitter)

o Lighting Control Software (Max/Msp/Jitter)

· Hardware interface applications and externals.

o

· Sound generation, Spatialization and processing environments

o Surround Patch (quad, 5.1, octa)(Max/MSP)

o Noise reduction filter (Max/MSP)

· Max/MSP/Jitter and PD externals

o InteractPD USB joystick control interface (Max external)

o InteractPD USB joystick midi interface – can be used to control other midi devices directly (Max external or standalone/pluggin)

o 4 and 8 channel control data routing objects for use with the InteractPD USB joystick control interface (Max external)

o KaossPad control interface (Max external)

o LED indicator routing objects – Useful for tracking current controller target takes input from InteractPD and KaossPad control patches (Max External).

o Audio mute object – restores pre-mute fader level and can receive mute allmessage (Max External).

o Milti-channel midi receive object – quick setup for receiving 8 or 16 channels of midi from outside max (Max External)

o Four, Eight, and Sixteen Channel Audio Mixers (Max Externals)

o LFO Matrix (Max External).

o Quadraphonic and Octaphonic speaker and level visualizer – useful for confirming speaker connection configuration (Max External).

o Octaphonic audio send/Receive (Max External).

o Space bar Start/Stop object (Max External).

· Visual Shader Development

o Texture Bump and Displacement Mapping (VVVV)

· Visual feed Back

o Effect of network delay.

o

· Lighting and video spanning, perspective and Spacialization

o Lighting surround

o

· Inter-medium connectivity

o Example Scenario: a few selected parameters (frequency, LFO) from various AUDIO sources (ableton effect send, mic/line input)  are used to modulate the VIDEO generation patch (VVVV, Jitter, etc).  Digital and analogue data is extracted/captured from the streaming VISUALS and utilized by the LIGHTING control (DMX) application/desk (Max/Msp, Hog) to cohere the visual forms. L.E.D. fixtures illuminate dancers with varying colors contributing to the video and motion capture data received by cameras and sensors which…..

o Audio analysis for Jitter

o Audio analysis for VVVV

o Video analysis for lighting (Max/Msp/Jitter)

o

Interactive installations

· Motion Notion Music Festival

o Jelly fish

o Mushroom

o Voice modulated visuals

o Plant light drums

o Surround controller

o Motion Video kaleidoscope

o

· Tele-matic Research with Ken Fields

o

· Network Art and performances

o

· Developing interface and collaboration tools for research network

o High Speed one Gig private network inhabited by many major institutions around the world

o Cybera

o

·

New Presentation Methods and Immersive Spaces

· Multi-Dimensional Screens
